Hey there!

My name is Nazihah. I’m a public health researcher and evidence-to-policy specialist. I study health inequalities: how social and economic structures affect health over the life course and across generations.

For over a decade, I’ve worked on questions spanning public health, social and gender inequalities, and international trade, always with a focus on the structural forces that shape everyday life. I have worked on pressing national policy questions and advised senior government decision-makers as well as grassroots civil society actors. My experiences have shaped my approach as a policy researcher, combining technical expertise with a critical lens on the power structures that reproduce inequality.

Increasingly, I want to work towards bringing research back to the people it concerns, not just as beneficiaries but also as contributors to knowledge production and as partners in collective efforts toward more equitable and just societies.
